Jobe
Our family got Toy Schnauzer pup "Jobe" from The Happy Pup, and they were such a joy to work with! Jobe is in great health, and such a charming little guy, in both looks and temperament. As soon as we saw his pictures, we were in total love, and knew we had to have him! We had never had a Schnauzer before, but Jobe has been nothing but a delight thus far, and we look forward to years of companionship and enjoyment from him! A huge 'Thank you' to the wonderful family at The Happy Pup! The Moore Family |

My wife RIE. and I had been searching for a hypoallergenic, people-friendly dog for the past six months. We happened upon The Happy Pup and Sara on PuppyFind. What caught us at first (besides how cute the puppies are) was how genuine and caring Sara was in our first questions about miniature schnauzers. She patiently and thoroughly answered any and all of our questions. She also continually sent us pictures of the puppy throughout the three-week process. I think we exchanged about 75 emails from inquiry to picking up of the puppy. Sara continues to give great support and advice now that the puppy has arrived and we are going through the first steps of being puppy owners. She is completely honest and follows through on all her claims regarding the puppy. For example, her vaccination list and CKC registration were complete and up-to-date upon arrival of the puppy just as she promised. She guides you through the complete transit of the puppy ensuring a speedy and safe arrival. My immediate family has purchased puppies through puppyfind before, but never have we worked with such a dedicated and passionate person as Sara. Most importantly, the new puppy, 'Oki' (aka Rascal), is healthy, energetic, intelligent and as cute as he was in the pictures. We could not be happier! Thank you Sara!! Max |
In the past, my dream dog was a pug. Unfortunately, my husband has dog allergies so we had to look elsewhere at hypoallergenic dogs. We were not interested in hairless dogs, and many of the dogs we looked at had long hair that required 1-3 times monthly professional grooming. I continued to research and found the miniature schnauzer that was both cute and easily maintained. I happened upon the puppyfind website and saw many sellers featuring AKC/CKC-registered puppies and their price range exceeded my budget. I found The Happy Pup and happily observed that the parents were in our ideal miniature schnauzer weight range of 8-9 pounds (much less than the 11-18 pound range on other seller sites). First, the Happy Pup website “about us” section made me very comfortable with Sara and her outlook on miniature schnauzers because I had no prior knowledge about the specifics. We made inquiries to two separate sellers. Both gave quick responses. The first seller responded with an unsolicited offer of a weekend discount ($200) which was very nice, however, the Happy Pup and Sara responded with a heartfelt description of the personality and temperament of our desired puppy plus details on what it will be like to own a miniature schnauzer (especially in light of my husband’s allergies). The way she wrote showed me that she really cared both for us and the puppy. That was the beginning of our journey with the Happy Pup.
When the puppy flew out for arrival to us, Sara and her children sent us a picture of them waving goodbye to the plane. Who does that? So caring.
The first time I saw the puppy I was blown away by his cuteness and his tiny size was just what I hoped for. His energetic, loving personality was balanced by his calm temperament when being held or at bedtime (he hardly whined at night). This reflects on the care given to him by Sara and her family. We have received him several steps into the potty training and at 8-weeks old he knows to go to the door and whine when he needs to eliminate.

Sgt. Pepper |
Sgt. Pepper is the sweetest dog ever! He is 9 weeks old and already potty-trained (mostly), and he has even learned some tricks. He is healthy and happy and very affectionate. He has gotten perfect reports from my vet (no worms, fleas, ear mites, or any genetic abnormalities). He has quickly established himself as a member of my family, and he also gets along perfectly with my 6-week old puppy, Penny Lane. I am so glad I chose "The Happy Pup" for my miniature schnauzer breeder! Thanks, Rachel James, M.D. |

Update 1-7-21 Piper's max weight is 9-10 pounds. She is the sweetest little dog we've ever had. She is also very protective. Yes please do use her pictures and note she is the sweetest furbaby we've ever had. We have actually taken her into restaurants to eat. She is so well behaved and quiet. She goes with s wherever we go. We have her so rotten. We are so thankful for you. 4 Years Ago: Dear Sara, Here is an update on 'Piper Gookenbarger'. It took her a matter of minutes to capture our hearts ...and home. Haha. Piper weighed 1.8 when we brought her home. She recently weighed in at 4.6 lbs. Here are photos before being groomed and after. She has a delightful heart. She aims to please and entertaining is her specialty. Pipers favorite chew toy is shoes. Especially those of her owners. She runs and plays at the speed of light and captures everyone's heart she encounters. Her Groomer asked who Piper's breeder is. She said, "You get an A+ for perfection". Paul and I thank you so much for making our home complete with this little bundle of a fur baby. She is an absolute joy we look forward to each day. We will keep you updated on our progress. Thank you again for blessing us abundantly. Mr. & Mrs. Gookenbarger |
